About the Role

Truecaller is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join its Infrastructure team in Bengaluru. You'll be responsible for maintaining the performance, scalability, and reliability of infrastructure supporting over 450 million monthly active users of one of the world’s most downloaded communication apps.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and maintain infrastructure across its lifecycle
• Build scalable and reliable infrastructure components
• Set up observability with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools
• Conduct root cause analysis for outages and performance issues
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams for capacity planning
• Develop tools for provisioning, scaling, and automation
• Implement security and compliance across cloud infrastructure

Requirements

• Strong Linux system administration experience in production environments
• Expertise in GCP (or transferable AWS/Azure skills)
• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes (GKE preferred)
• CI/CD pipeline experience, infrastructure as code, and automation
• Hands-on with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver, Datadog, or New Relic
• Experience handling incident response and SRE best practices
• Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, secrets management
• Knowledge of distributed systems, scalability, and DevOps practices

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes Operators
• Familiarity with databases like Cassandra, ScyllaDB, PostgreSQL, Redis
• Go programming skills or willingness to learn
